PM Sent Message to His Compatriots before leaving for World Economic Forum in Switzerland

Phnom Penh: On the afternoon of Thursday 19 May, Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen sent a message on social media to his compatriots living in the country about his trip to attend the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2022 under the theme “Preparing for the Post-COVID era”, at the invitation of Professor Klaus Schwab, Founder and Executive Chairman of the World Economic Forum.

PM Hun Sen said: "At 1:30 am on May 21, 2022, tomorrow I will lead a Cambodian delegation to attend the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland. I would like to thank my compatriots for living in European countries who released a video celebrating my trip to Europe. "As planned, I will meet our Cambodian compatriots in Zurich, Switzerland on the evening of May 21, 2022."

The Cambodian Prime Minister said goodbye to his compatriots in the country for a short time and promised to meet with his compatriots in Europe in about 60 hours.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cambodia, Prime Minister Hun Sen is expected to have meetings with leaders of some countries as well as receive courtesy calls from world political and business figures, and also meeting with Cambodian compatriots living in Switzerland and other European Countries.  

During his stay in Switzerland, PM will deliver the opening speech of “CAMBODIA NIGHT”, an event sponsored by WorldBridge Group to promote foreign businesses in Cambodia.
